Purpose
Focused Inbox helps you stay on top of important emails by automatically sorting your inbox into two tabs:
Focused – Emails Outlook thinks are most important to you.
Other – Less important emails such as newsletters or bulk messages.
Steps to Enable and Use Focused Inbox
Open Outlook Webmail
Log in to Outlook on the Web via Office 365.
Access Settings
Click the gear icon (⚙) in the upper-right corner.
Search for Focused Inbox
In the search bar, type Focused Inbox.
Turn On Focused Inbox
Toggle Sort messages into Focused and Other to On.
Review Your Inbox
Use the Focused and Other tabs above your message list to switch views.
Train Outlook
Move messages between Focused and Other by right-clicking and choosing Move to Focused/Other.
Outlook will learn from your actions.
Tips
If you miss an important email, check the Other tab.
Works best if you regularly train it by moving misclassified messages.
You can turn it off anytime if you prefer a single inbox view.
